Portland Wine are gearing up for our Autumn tasting program, which gives you the chance to meet our independent wine merchants at a range of special wine tasting events.

It all gets underway on September 8th at Gastronomy Hale, and wine tasting events continue through until November 6th with a Winter wine extravaganza in Bowdon.

Gastronomy events are strictly ticketed, and absolutely must be booked well in advance of the day, while the Winter wine extravaganza offers a discount for groups of six or more booked in advance.

Tickets are going fast as we now only have tickets left for the first and the fourth event.

Gastronomy Hale

Each wine tasting event lasts from 7pm-9pm on the dates listed below, and is strictly limited to 28 places.

Tickets are priced at £12 each, and include canapés - special dietary requirements can be accommodated if you tell us at the time of booking.

Please book your tickets at least five days before the date of the event, so we can confirm numbers and venue, and so we have time to take into account any dietary requests.

Tuesday, September 8th: Giovanni Mazzei for Marchesi di Mazzei Castello di Fonterutoli Chianti Classico.

Wednesday, September 30th: Steve Webber, chief wine maker for De Bortoli Australia.

Wednesday, October 14th: Louis Boutinot, representing his father's wines of Waterkloof South Africa.

These events are a great chance to meet some truly passionate individuals - Louis Boutinot is a firm favourite among our wine merchants and customers alike - so we hope you'll join us.

Winter Wine Extravaganza

Finally, on Friday, November 6th, join us at the Bowdon Hotel on Langham Road, Bowdon, from 6pm-9pm for the Winter Wine Extravaganza.

Our independent wine merchants will be there, along with an ever-increasing number of suppliers (we're still adding more to the line-up in the coming weeks).

More than 100 wines, spirits, champagnes, ports and madeiras will be on show, along with plenty of cheese to complement the tasting.

Tickets cost from £10 per person, with discounts on group bookings of six or more tickets bought in advance - book early to avoid disappointment, and we hope to see you there.
