Tempranillo 80%, Cabernet Sauvignon 10%, Merlot and Malbec 10%. An impressive, powerful nose full of fruit, still with a perfumed elegance, but also a meaty, rare beef aroma. This power comes through on the palate, with a creamy mouthfeel, but with fresh acidity too.

This bodega has produced many profound wines, but the 1994 Unico Reserva may be the greatest vintage released since their legendary 1970 and 1968. A truly prodigious effort. Full-bodied, potent, powerful, and well-delineated.
1999 Vega Sicilia Valbuena

Tempranillo 85%, Merlot and Malbec 15%. A beautiful, dark, glossy colour. Dense fruit, blackberry, with a sweet buttery pastry/crumble character - plenty of oak here still. A wealth of dark fruits though, a rich fleshy texture, but with firm acidity.
Marqués de Vargas Hacienda Pradolagar

Full-bodied and delicious with flavours of raspberry and blackberry with spicy, sweet vanilla notes. The tannins are firm and ripe. The finish is clean and long.
